Urban Impressions
Urban Impressions is a project exploring the typography found in the city of Athens. I began by photographing and mapping diverse ranges of styles and fonts, and then traced the letterforms in Illustrator. The research and tracings were integrated into a design for an informational trifold created in Adobe InDesign. The project was designed on a grid with margins, bleed marks, and crop marks for printing.

Creating sketches allowed me to picture how the tracings, information, map, and other decorative elements would fit together in the design.
Designing a map of the Athens neighborhood where the typography examples were found. This element was incorporated into the design of the trifold.
