During my internship with Mid-lantic Labeling & Packaging, I had the opportunity to grow skills in many different areas of design. I worked creatively, making a variety of designs for product labels, and brochures, in addition to other hands-on projects like product photography, website design, and SEO.
Visual Identity
The following projects relate to further developing the branding and visual identity system of Mid-lantic. This introduced a more modern style for the company, allowing Mid-lantic to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
Logo Redesign
Collaborated with the Director of Operations at Mid-Lantic to redesign the logo for improved cost efficiency, versatility, and brand consistency. The new logo works on black and white backgrounds, and was printed on employee T-shirts and implemented into the website and future marketing projects.
Business Card
Crafted a thoughtful business card design that aligns with Mid-lantic’s brand identity while providing a clear, memorable first impression of the company. The new logo design I previously created was incorporated to the design.
Prints
Though the produce packaging industry has grown significantly in the digital age, there is still a place for meeting people face to face. Mid-lantic is all about making connections and maintaining them, so I made designs for prints that were handed to the local farmers in south Jersey, along with some other projects such as produce labels and a product catalog.
Berry Brochure
Designed an informational handout for berry products. This brochure was given to local farms to introduce them to Mid-lantic’s selection of berry packaging solutions.
Full Product Catalog
Crafted Mid-lantic’s first full product catalog, adaptable to print and digital platforms. Its thoughtfully structured layout showcases each product with clarity and style.
Product Label Redesign
Created a new design for fruit clamshell labels. The updated design features my own vector drawings of fruits using Adobe Illustrator. The design was applied to other produce labels such as raspberries and black raspberries.
Digital
The following projects are all work that is displayed digitally, from website updates, to digital marketing projects. The overarching goal for these project was to increase Mid-lantic’s onlince presence, and guide online users to their product page on the website and drive sales.
Web Design
Updated the design of the company website for the first time since 2015, incorporating new photography and eye-catching layouts using a more modern design approach.
SEO Improvement
Increased search traffic by 92% between June and July 2025 by researching SEO techiniques and applying them to the company website. Updates included adding keywords and tags to products, organizing related products, and creating SEO-friendly product descriptions.
Photography
Re-photographed each stock product with a clean, consistent look. Photos are displayed on the website product page, as well as on marketing graphics and LinkedIn. Also took photographs to be used in other areas of the website and marketing projects.
LinkedIn Startup
Assisted with the company’s start on LinkedIn by drafting/managing posts and designing graphics to help boost the company’s visibility online.
Marketing Graphics
Designed a variety of graphics for LinkedIn posts and email marketing. I combined photography and visual design skills to drive engagement across digital platforms.
