ACG Club Logos

Logo Design

For this Graphic Design II project, I was tasked with creating four cohesive club logos for clubs at The American College of Greece. I followed the design process including research, moodboards, sketches, prototypes, and final delivery. The logos were designed according to the needs of the club leaders, while adhering to the broader ACG brand identity.

For the first stage of the design process, I conducted a survey for the club members to find out what needed to be included in the logo. In addition, I included benchmarking in the process to gather inspiration and to figure out how to make my logos stand out.

Using the information gathered from the research stage, I began to sketch and create iterations of the logos in Illustrator. I tried several styles of logos before setting with a typographical approach. I combined a symbol of each club into a wordmark, creating a creative and cohesive set of logos.

After receiving feedback from peers and my professor, I further refined the designs before adding color. I increased the point size of “ACG Deree” in order to maximize scalability.

Grid Measurements

In order to adhere to the broader ACG brand, I used the font Avenir which is used for all of the college’s branding. In addition, I kept the ACG blue consistent and added one color to each logo. The colors are to represent each club’s identities and values.
